    Food is good, decor is nice but the service lacks when this place is busy. Had a work Christmas do here and a new years party here and both where average, spent more time in line waiting to buy a drink than I did drinking it. For a local eat this place is good but for a function I would not bother.

    I love the changes the republic has taken over the years. Nice place to have a couple of drinks or have lunch or dinner. The sweet potatoe fries are the bomb.

    Funny pub this one. Had all the makings of a good pub but it continually changes and gets updated. Don't know if it's the location but just miss the boat for me, for utterly no reason.

    Love this venue since the renovations. The open plan to outdoor is awesome and gives a good atmosphere to mingle both in summer and winter. There is a good bar menu with things to share with friends, or the restaurant for something more formal. I was a bit put off that we didn't seem to be able to order beer at the restaurant and instead walked up to the bar but it's still a great place to come for some Sunday drinks.
